Daisy Updates!

Three new items on our blog today:

Day 1 Daisies 2011  

Welcome to Daisies!

WOW!  Did we have fun!  Your girls are wonderful, and they really enjoyed themselves!  Success at the first CA Daisy meeting!

Some housekeeping issues:

1. What the girls should have after today's meeting:  
1. Blue Daisy Handbook binders
2. Daisy Journeys workbook
3. tunics with two insignia pins on a yellow flag, beanies and two patches
4. neon pink bags with their names on them!
2. Calendars came home tonight--reminders of our meeting times for the next month!  These are in the binder notebook.
3. Also, the girls have their notebooks--don't panic that they are virtually empty!  We shall be working on the "guts" of the notebook throughout the year, and they'll be bringing home various activities and contents periodically.  We didn't want the girls to have to lug such big notebooks around every two weeks, so home seemed like the best place for them!
4. A copy of the Daisy Dispatches, our monthly newsletter, will be coming to you via email this evening!  We'll also have it online, on the blog--lots of good information there!  Check it out!
5. Tunics, patches and beanies will come home as well.  Not all patches are going to be on the tunics--just the starter patches!  The rest our girls will have to earn!  In their notebooks, is a great picture of a Daisy Tunic--it shows you where to put the flag and Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland patches.
6. Volunteer forms are in their bags as well.  These are also on the blog, if you missed them!  I gave these out last minute, so please see the references tab later to get the form!
